Sit in a chair (leaning forward with your mouth open). Pinch your nose just below the bone for 20 minutes. This should stop the bleeding. Ice packs on the bridge of the nose or sucking ice cubes will help. Avoid hot drinks, food or cigarettes for 24 hours. If symptoms persist contact your doctor.
